Founded in 2008, our goal is to engage student volunteers in environmental protection and to encourage waste reduction within the Boston Latin School community.

As the school year comes to an end, we would like to congratulate our seven seniors!

This club wouldn’t have been as successful as it is without all your help, whether it was staying late to fulfill Valentine’s Day orders, making flowers on the weekend at Prudential (because certain people procrastinated), or running around the school during final clean out. We will miss all of you and your hardworking, funny, kind and goofy energy :)

Thank you for the (mostly) sweet messages and advice and we wish you all the best of luck in college and your future endeavors!

Because some of our officers will be graduating soon, we are looking to fill our board with new faces!

There are 6 floor chief positions open. In case you haven’t seen them helping during our regular after-school recycling. Floor chiefs are in charge of ensuring that volunteers are being active and respectful during recycling, as well as communicating with officers when there are problems.

Application Requirements:
1. Must be in Class II or below this current school year.
2. Shown commitment by volunteering with any of the Recycling Committee’s programs, such as after-school recycling or Final Clean Out.

BLS Recycling Committee and BLS YouthCAN have finished setting up our new 3rd floor bulletin board! We will be adding informational and event posters throughout the school year, so remember to take a look!

Pls put your cardboard next to the recycling bin, as we sort it separately. Thank you!
